I'd rather chuck it out and buy more than drink it!!! But unless your airline carries baby formula for sale on the
flight, your baby would go hungry until you are at your destination! This is only about bringing onboard enough for the
flight. I'm travelling next week and fretting big time about checking my laptop in. But I have to bring it... This
morning on the news over here they are saying that eg books bought airside can be brought onto the plane. But I have
been saving the last Elm Creek novel I bought for the flight :-( Hanne in London [/quote:ec8e806714] Somehow I just
can't see that the ban on everything carried on will last. Can you imagine a plane load of grumpy, bored (and more
than likely hungry and thirsty) travelers and one crying, hungry baby. The airlines won't have to worry about
terrorists, the passengers will be the threat. OTH, maybe airlines will have to start food service again. Maureen

This past May, my flight from Florida to NY was diverted to Albany because of bad weather. We were circling for a time.
The airline not only ran out of food and beverages, they ran out of potable water. We were only in the air an extra 90
minutes. We were lucky we'd brought bottled water on. Now you can't do that. Linda PATCHogue, NY On Fri, 11 Aug 2006

Charlotte. Wow. First off Darius' coloring is gorgeous. I love his eyes. Samson is a total doll. A few words of
advice that you may use or ignore at will. :-) 1. Get him used the rain as SOON as possible. Walk him outside no
matter what. We have a wet and dry season where I live. One rescue dog REFUSED to go outside when it rained. So I had
to find her a new home, where the people stayed home and could take her out. She is still going strong and they love
her dearly. 2. Water regulation: Samson can drink his fill at the top of every hour, then put the dish away. In
about 20 minutes take him outside and keep him outside till he goes. No water an hour before bedtime, or before he is
crated (if you are using that method) or left alone. 3. Find a command that will work for potty, like Hurry Up. etc.
One of my dogs it was Potty (which my ex hated :-) and the other dog's Number 2 cue is Hurry Up! You can try Now! as
well. When he goes, lots and lots of praise. 4. Chew Toys: Nothing vinyl, as they tend to chip and can get lodged
(per my dog trainer). I used to take old t-shirts and cut them into strips and braid them. Really helped Cliff the
Mutt and me survive his chewing stage, and was a LOT cheaper then the rope toys, which he dearly loves now. 5.
Nylabones are your best friend and Samson's. These things are great. 6. Rotate the toys. Get him a selection. Swap
them out every couple of days. Dogs get bored too. That again is per my dog trainer. Worked with Cliff. Teach him how
to fetch, and tug of war without being aggressive. 7. Food: Dogs can be taught EARLY to wait for their food. Took
Cliff a couple of days. He's a little guy, but I didn't want to get tripped on the way to his food dish. Every dog we
have waits in a Sit Command, till I put their food bowl down and release them with "<their name>, Go
Ahead" (PS this doesn't work with cats. ;-) 8. Crating and or holding it: puppies can only be expected to hold
it according to the following formula: age in months + 1 = length of time in hours puppy can be expected to hold before
an accident. With water and food regulation to can extend that somewhat. But still, cannot be expected to truly hold
it for 8 hours till he is about 7 months old. 9. If you like it, don't put it where he can reach it. :-) Cliff loved
everything Mom. Wouldn't go after hubby's stuff, only mine as I was the one he bonded with. 10. Have lots of fun and
post lots of picture. He's gorgeous. Jenn in CA Charlotte Hippen wrote: [quote:db5e6356a2]Photos have now been added

me very busy. He really likes the stuffies that we got him and a nylon(?) of sorts teething bone. So far he doesn't
like the plastic squeak toys. Potty training is rough today. He is not used to the great outdoors so last night he was
too distracted to do anything and today it is raining which he really doesn't know about!! The boys love him, but need
some time to get used to him. The cat on the other hand does not like him, but is tolerating him well (much better than
expected). Thank you to those that have expressed concern over him having stuffed animal like toys. My MIL and FIL
have 4 dogs that have these types of toys (among others) and have not had any issues except the children's stuffed toys
which are simply kept out of reach and carefully monitored when in play. I think if I do my part as supervising him and
the kids we should be OK. I am planning to go and get some fleece and making him some softies and some tug of war
ropes. Thanks to all who gave input. -- Charlotte http://community.webshots.com/user/charh108[/quote:db5e6356a2]

to teach her. So during the learning process, sometimes others need to be a little more patient. With moms like me, it
is often harder on us to deal with our kids than it is for others. I am usually embarrassed beyond belief while my
daughter is learning something new and has a total meltdown over the entire situation. I do my best to try to protect
those around us from the annoyance, and my DH and I have even taken her out to the car for a time out thus delaying
ordering our meal much to the chagrin of our overworked server! 90% of the learning process is repeated exposure.
Dannielle Exactly, Dannielle! My 2 have limited restaurant experience due to[/quote:e3a5c91d32] meltdowns and having
to have our food boxed for carryout because of their behavior. However...those limited experiences obviously taught
them something - when we were visiting the Outer Banks (with 2 of DHs coworkers, the wife of 1 and their dogs....the
married couple does NOT have children and is emphatci about not wanting them), we went to a local restaurant. Yes, I
was a bit scared, but since we took out own car and had a key to the rental house, we decided to try it. After the
chaos of trying to figure out what they would both eat (split an order of unspiced steamed shrimp <grin>), they
were outstanding!!! DD, 2.5yrs, spilled her drink but that was the only mishap, and that was actually my fault
<sigh>. DS, 6ys, was perfectly polite, saying excuse me, or in some cases, raising his hand when he wanted
something. Had we not taken them out at younger ages, I'm convinced it would have been total chaos. Yes, I got
frustrated when we had to bring all of the food home, but they learned how to behave in restaurants!! Stores are a
different story at times. DS has sensory integration dysfunction (so they tell me0, which basically means that he
can't process all of the sensory input that comes flying at him. SO..that makes it hard unless he has a book or
something to focus on. DD always wants to "buy stuff" even though she has no money, so sometimes I discover
interesting additions to my shopping list (no, I don't buy it, but when unloading the cart, get a nice little giggle).

This is perfect. I've already forwarded it to several friends. As to the posting on the fridge, you are reading a note
from someone who really does have a little laminated poster that I made that says "wipe your paws." It has a
picture of Puff my Maltese, so he knows it's for him, and it's on the wall under the spot on the countertop that holds

bonus from the govt, so I arranged for a limo to pick us up from my Mums place and take us to a nice restaurant for
dinner and bring us home again. Well, it was a hoot!! I told DH that Mum had invited us to a Dinner Party and she
wanted everyone to dress accordingly as she wanted to take some family pics.... lol, it was so good. When we arrived at
Mums, she had even set up the table with the good china plates and crystal glasswear!! She took a couple of photo's of
us, and was really getting into the spirit of my little "white lie". When the limo arrived the chauffeur came
to the door and DH was so surprised and happy. We had a bottle of champagne provided for us to drink on the way to the
restaurant. We had a glorious night, I can't wait to scrap our pics and share with you all. Tomorrow we're throwing a
birthday party for our little one, well he's 10yrs next tuesday, so he's not quite so little anymore.... lol. But it's
all systems go, busy busy!! It's a superhero/cartoon theme party, and T is going as Batman!! I'll be sure to take lots
of pics in the hope of finding some time to scrap once school goes back for next term. I survived the first week of the
school holidays, now I just have to get through one more!!! lol. We were lucky enough to have respite for today and
tonight, so it gave DH and I time to shop for T's birthday presents and get things for his party. Well.... my feet are
SO sore, we were walking around ALL day.... I must have trekked up some miles that's for sure.... Then we got home only
to realise that we had to get the food for the party too. So we had dinner and went into our local supermarket (which
is 24hr luckily) and got everything (and more) that we needed. I've spent most of recent times in lurk mode, by the

Michelle, what a lucky find you had finding those precious tapes... that would've certainly made your day!! And Dave, I

especially busy and hectic for us the past month or so now. We're slowly getting back into the swing of things again.
Last Saturday night I organised a special surprise for DH. Well, to give you a bit of background... when we were
married (almost 5yrs ago) we booked and paid for a limousine to pick us up from the Reception and take us to our wedding
night accomodation, the limo never arrived, so we never did get our ride in the limo. I received a nice little carers
bonus from the govt, so I arranged for a limo to pick us up from my Mums place and take us to a nice restaurant for
dinner and bring us home again.
I've spent most of recent times in lurk mode, by the
time I actually get to sit at the computer, I'm too tired to even read let alone post anything!! Catching up on a bit

WOOO HOOO good for you Jeanne! you*can* do it! do remember all beans have lots of protein and do remember that you
*need* a teaspoon of fat (marg/butter/oil) every day to keep you regular not doing so can be painful :-s I've been
missing you on the mssgr - but the good news is that the clocks will change "soon" and we will be back in sync

plain oatmeal has nothing else in it. i'd check that granola, often they hide honey, brown sugar etc and call it
healthy. full of fibre etc but all that added sweeteners wont work for me now. i must lose weight, i must lose weight, i
must lose weight. good luck on your quest as well. :) hugz, jeanne <yup basmati is our usual rice here, wild on the

If you really get into it Jeanne there is good stuff you can eat. You just have to ferret through all the crap at the
store to find it. There are some teas that have a sweet taste even without sugar. Once you get used to unsweetened tea
you will think sweetened tastes funny. I have an aunt that is miserable because she is overweight. Her knees don't
work cause the weight and she can't move to lose the weight cause her knees. Watching her move is hurtful. She has

Try putting diced apple in that oatmeal for a little variation. I had never liked the texture of oatmeal because I had
always been served very runny oatmeal. In Ukraine they served me much drier oatmeal with diced apples. I loved it. This
new dish doesn't seem like oatmeal at all to me. Just add enough water when cooking to moisten the yaw material not turn
it into slop. (sorry Mom but that is the way you always cooked it) Susan On Wed, 16 Aug 2006 13:09:12 +1200,

You enter into a thread about a possible civil war in the US with "tough talk" about shooting people. And
you're Buddhist? Right. Great that you save animals and can fix things. Other than that I think you're a wanker. And
a liar. I'll make my "bio" a bit shorter. I'm also 53, been with the Artist/Muse in one way or another since
1993. You know how people talk about "soul mates"? Found her, and her I. Accomplishments are great, and I've
had my share. First person in the history of my family with a college degree., etc. blah blah blah. Means nothing in
the long run. It's not about accomplishments,it's about experiences. Take today. Now, for some reason (well, that's
not really true. it was about kid's reason) little punks (unlike many of their parents) dig dreads. Look, it's tourist
season in Philly and the city is filled with people from all over the place. Birthplace of Democracy........and cheese
steaks. Youse kno' We get the coolest reactions from these cool kids. Someone will stop us to ask directions and while
I'm telling the adults how to get to "Independence Mall" etc, the kids are laughing and pulling at the
Artist/Muse's dreads while she smiling and laughing herself. Oh yeah, today we're walking near the "Betsy
Ross" house and I see this little Downs kid approaching with her family. We make eye contact and she goes into one
of the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen. As we pass she raises her hand. I get the cue and lower mine. High fives.
Corny? Yup. Totally "Hallmark" feel good corny. I should call "Lifetime" Probably could sell them
the screenplay. F*ck that. The fact that we were probably 30 feet past each other before I could no longer hear those
amazing giggles, and the "last look back" with this incredible little chick more than made my day. As usual,
the Artist/Muse knew how I was feeling (she was really pumped, as well) and gave me another incredible smile. "You
have to write, I really think I have to paint." So we did. And had some private time, as well. You once said that
you didn't have a girlfriend because your Ex put you off to relationships. For all the things you can fix.......and the
one that really mattered........? But, hey, feel free to ask me anything you want. "Gunner"

[quote:a907dba554]1. What are the Top Seven best things that the Bush Administration has done? 1) held back the attack
on our religious freedoms. [/quote:a907dba554] Everyones freedoms? Or just yours? [quote:a907dba554]2) stopped
terrorism on our soil [/quote:a907dba554] Yup. 9-11 sure was a raging success. [quote:a907dba554]3) renewed electric
power production (no more blackouts). [/quote:a907dba554] So the next time my lights go out I blame Bush? Can I send
him a bill? [quote:a907dba554]4) restored a failing economy (a major correction was caused by a terrorist attack YEARS
in the planning and overpriced stock market caused by the press exaggerating the health of the Clinton economy)
[/quote:a907dba554] Let's see the DJIA has fallen, what 30-40% due to inflation? Gas has doubled, food has nearly
doubled. That's restoring a failing economy? [quote:a907dba554]5) again proved that lower taxes produce more revenue.
[/quote:a907dba554] Cite? [quote:a907dba554]6) appointed Supreme Court justices who interpret the constitution
instead of rewrite it. [/quote:a907dba554] Eminent domain now means Wal-Mart can have your home if it generates more
income than the taxes you pay. Great interpretation. I'm Not sure. but I think the only one of the 10 bill of rights
that hasn't been screwed by Bush is the being forced to house soldiers in your home. [quote:a907dba554]7) fought the
spread of gayism [/quote:a907dba554] Are you troubled by queers? Why? Queers make more women available, don't they?
Or you worried about what horrible acts of love/lust consenting adults can perpetrate behind closed doors?
[quote:a907dba554]8) is winning the War on Terror. [/quote:a907dba554] Created probably 3 "terraced" for every
one killed. [quote:a907dba554]9) fixing mistakes made by Clinton and Carter. [/quote:a907dba554] Which mistakes? And
who 'se going to fix Bush's mistakes? [quote:a907dba554]10) kept a flaming liberal and liar KERRY out of the White
House!!!!! [/quote:a907dba554] Great! So we get a flaming liar Neocon, instead. [quote:a907dba554]As "bad"
as Bush is, KERRY IS WORSE!!!!! [/quote:a907dba554] Hard to see how. But enjoy your little dream world.
[quote:a907dba554]2. Is the Iraq War is going well? Yes. The new government is forming much better than Germany did
after World War II. (Saddam modeled his government after Nazi Germany). Plus, in the war in Iraq isn't just a few Saddam
loyalists, it's also against Iraq's neighbors and leftists at home. Strange you would bring up Germany, when we are
approaching what they[/quote:a907dba554] were. [quote:a907dba554]3. After three years thus far, when do you think Iraq
might be able to "stand up" so that America can "stand down"? If the US pulls out too early or too
quick it will give Iraq's enemies a renewed hope, we will have greatly rewarded and funded terror, guaranteeing the war
on terror never ends. [/quote:a907dba554] It will NEVER end. Just like the War On Drugs, the War on Terror will ASSURE
more Terror & More $$$ to fight it. You don't see that? Do you get all your news from Fox? [quote:a907dba554]4.
For his part in the event, how would you rate the job the President did protecting New Orleans from devastation? That
wasn't Bush's job. [/quote:a907dba554] Agreed. [quote:a907dba554]That was the responsibility of a DEMOCRAT governor,
DEMOCRAT city council, a DEMOCRAT appointed New Orleans Levee Board, a DEMOCRAT controlled state senate, a DEMOCRAT
controlled state house and a DEMOCRAT governor. Bullshit.[/quote:a907dba554] [quote:a907dba554]It's not Bush's fault
we didn't spend the last 100 years being prepared for the hurricane of the century. It's not FEMA's fault they don't
have a budget as big as Louisiana. It's not the US Army Corps of Engineers fault a levee failed that was built 40
hurricane seasons ago. 5. How do you think the rebuilding of New Orleans is going? Not well. Those idiots are still
trying to build houses below sea level. Agreed[/quote:a907dba554] [quote:a907dba554]6. When Dick Cheney and the oil
company and energy executives met in private to plan America's energy policy, how much of their goal was to benefit
consumers? Better than we did with Gore in charge of US energy policy. [/quote:a907dba554] Really? Hey, you're right,
gas and electricity are a lot cheeper, now that we've sent 100,000 troops to secure it for us. [quote:a907dba554]7. Do
you believe in the President's call for an Era of Personal Responsibility? Do you believe everything is Bush's fault?
[/quote:a907dba554] No, but he's a key player on "What's Wrong with the World" now. [quote:a907dba554]8.
Since Republicans control the White House, Senate and House of Representatives, how personally responsible are they for
conditions in America today? As well as they could be with all the back biting going on. You know, the shameless
undermining and hindering WHILE DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP?? endlessly questioning and criticizing Bush's
proposals while offering no workable alternatives of your own. [/quote:a907dba554] They've got a majority. Where does
the partisan "backbiting" come in to play? They vote to override anything they don't like. Assuming that
questioning and criticizing a president, don't/can't help. do you want to live in a country where questioning and
criticizing leaders isn't allowed? Your question leads me to believe you do. [quote:a907dba554]9. Why do you think
they haven't been able to find anyone who can verify that George Bush ever showed up for National Guard duty in Alabama?
Why haven't they found anyone who can verify that Kerry earned his medals? [/quote:a907dba554] HEY! The question was
about BUSH. Not KERRY or KLINTON or NIXON or KENNEDY or REAGAN. Answer the question, or STFU.
[quote:a907dba554]10. Would you want Donald Rumsfeld to plan your daughter's wedding? No, but he did conquer
Afghanistan with only 5% of the troops the Army asked for. Rumsfeld also joined Nixon's team from the start, and
although you won't hear it on NBC, if you look it up yourself you'll find that Nixon completely turned around the
Vietnam War: http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/6545/vietnamwarstats8zn.jpg [/quote:a907dba554] Great. So Nixon
supposedly won the war, before resigning is disgrace. WTF does that have to do with Rummy? [quote:a907dba554] 11. Are
you aware that no government in the history of civilization, other than the Bush Administration, has lowered taxes
during a war? ......WHILE INCREASING TAX REVENUES!!! He's just AWESOME!!!! [/quote:a907dba554] What? You don't see the
war tax? You pay it every time you go to the grocery store or gas pump. The currency is being devalued.
[quote:a907dba554]12. Are you married? No. Surprise, surprise.[/quote:a907dba554] [quote:a907dba554]13. Do you
personally feel threatened by gay marriage? No, but the US Supreme Court seize the right to rule over sex and marriage,
something that has belonged to the states since the founding of the constitution. Whether or not you or I think gay
marriage should be, it's still opinion, not law. The ruling is based on discrimination laws which for the first time,
the court expanded to include behavior. That was based on an "expert opinion" that gays "are born that
way". The US Supreme Court upheld opinion over the US Constitution. This is a community standard issue anyway. If
you don't like the way things are, you move somewhere you like it. Why does the left it must impose this upon the entire
country with the majority is against it?? [/quote:a907dba554] OK. Sure. Show me where in the Constitution it says the
states regulate sex. Cause I forgot to register. [quote:a907dba554]14. Since getting elected, do you think the
President has been more a uniter or a divider? Bush is a uniter. Liberals are dividers. [/quote:a907dba554] "You
are either with us or against us." - George W "Butt-nugget" Bush [quote:a907dba554]15. How do you
explain the President's approval rating going from a high of 90% to the current mid-30%? Relentless attacks by the
leftist mainstream media, not like they edit out anything that sounds bad, ignore bad news, explain away things that
can't be explained or attack the president's critics like they did for Clinton. [/quote:a907dba554] Where is leftist
media everyone is talking about? Which of the networks don't comply with the Bush propaganda machine?
